The person behind
the architecture.

Good engineering connects the system, the business, and the human on the other side of the screen.

I’m Amirhossein Moloudi, an IT Solutions Architect and Technical Lead at Mammute. My work spans cloud-native architecture, microservices, event-driven and serverless approaches, and distributed systems—with hands-on engineering across the product lifecycle.

I work with Rust/Actix and Java/Spring, API-first design, Agile delivery, and mentoring. My professional interests include legacy modernization, greenfield development, and managing technical debt without losing sight of maintainability, reliability, or user experience.

Before and alongside my software career, I taught English as a Second Language to teenagers and adults. Technical work and clear communication are both part of my background.

Beyond the code.
Inside the decisions.

Selected ideas from my writing on software engineering, reliability, cost, and the people behind every interaction.

Core banking / 02 Oct 2026

Speed matters. Correctness comes first.

A perspective on COBOL, Java, Rust, Go, Python, and Node.js in banking systems: choose tools for their fit, not their novelty. My focus is on correct financial operations, idempotent requests, atomic debit and credit posting, reliable event publication, and testing retries when a successful response is lost.

Product development / 17 Sep 2026

Building an integrated business platform, together.

Introducing KavaCRM and my contribution as a member of its development team. The platform brings CRM, sales pipelines, projects, finance, inventory, automation, and AI-assisted workflows into one environment.

Reliability / 15 Sep 2026

Retries are not a resilience strategy on their own.

My post explores how retries can amplify an already stressed dependency, particularly when multiple layers retry independently. It discusses bounded timeouts, backoff, jitter, retry limits, safe repetition, circuit breaking, backpressure, and failing fast when appropriate.

Not every error deserves the same response. Sometimes the most reliable decision is to stop retrying and let the dependency recover.

FinOps / 27 Aug 2026

Architecture has an operating cost.

A practical discussion of media delivery, heavy reporting workloads, oversized logging infrastructure, and database connection pooling. The central idea: architectural decisions affect operating costs, and buying more hardware is not a substitute for understanding the workload.

Production engineering / 27 Aug 2026

Running is not the same as production-ready.

My deployment checklist considers a reverse proxy, TLS, process supervision, restart and reboot behavior, restricted public ports, and useful logs. Starting a process is one step; making a service manageable and recoverable is another.
